Program: Healing Past Relationships

Heartbreak happens to all of us and can wash over us like a heavy rain. When experiencing a broken heart we can become saturated with grief. Loss becomes a physical emptiness, and longing is transmuted into a feeling that often cannot be put into words. Mending a broken heart can seem a task so monumental that we dare not attempt it for fear of damaging ourselves further. But heartbreak, like all emotions, can be healed.

The Law of Relationship says that we are all connected, and we are here to help each other learn and grow. We feel the same emotions; we share the same experiences. We face challenges and heartache, no matter where we live, or how we live. Each of us experiences some sort of loss in this lifetime. People come and go from our lives, whether by choice or by circumstance. How we cope with these events affects how we move forward, how we see the world and how we feel about our own lives.

Each person with whom we bond has come into our life for a purpose. They are either a teacher to us or we are a teacher to them. When we focus on the lessons that person’s interactions have taught us, then the transition of the relationship, including the ending of it, has great insight for us. All relationships are temporary, so when we embrace that closure is a transition it is easier to move through.

Healing Past Relationships is a program designed to help release the residual discomfort of past relationships and bring closure.   We help restore you to an optimistic outlook on life, where you can find peace when relationships change.

Clients can expect to feel a sense of relief about past relationships and entertain new and positive expectations for future relationships.

Program: Dealing with Grief & Loss

Who among us hasn’t been devastated by the loss of a relationship, whether through separation, divorce, or death? Most of the time, we can’t see beyond the present moment and mistakenly believe that life could never be as good without that other person in our daily lives.

Dealing with grief and loss can be confronting and debilitating.  Any experience of this nature can bring up all kinds of memories of the past. Some of these memories we love, cherish and then mourn.  Others we struggle to come to terms with.

When we experience something that causes us to feel shock and sadness, we may feel the urge to withdraw from life. It may seem like remaining withdrawn will keep us protected from the world, but during these times it is important to reach out to those trusted and precious people who care about us the most. Even with our best information and reasoning, we never know when someone else’s experience or perspective can give us additional information that we need. The universe speaks to us through many channels, and when we open ourselves up to receive its messages, we also receive nurturing care from a loving partner in life’s journey.

Grief is part of the human experience, and sharing our vulnerability is what creates truly close bonds in our relationships. Opening ourselves up in this way gets to the core of our being, past all of our defences and prejudices. When life seems to crack the outer shell of our world, we are both raw and fresh at the same time. It is then that we discover who is truly willing to walk with us through life. We also see that some of those sent to us may not be the ones we expected to see. Regardless, we learn to trust in the universe, in others, in our own strength and resilience, and in the wisdom of life itself.

Sharing grief allows us to ease our burden by letting someone else help carry it. This helps us process our own inner thoughts and feelings through the filter of a trusted and beloved someone. We may feel guilty or selfish, as if we are unloading on someone who has their own challenges. Although, if we think about it, we know we would do the same for them, and their protests would seem pointless. Remember that not sharing feelings with others denies them the opportunity to feel. We may be the messenger sent by the universe for their benefit, and it is on this mission that we have been sent. By sharing our hopes and fears, joys and pains with another person, we accept the universe’s gifts of wisdom and loving care.

Program: Dealing with Difficult Relationships

Difficult relationships or relationship fallouts can be transformed into something that you can understand and manage.  You do not have to be at the mercy of what other people say or do around you.  You have choices.

Maybe it’s a relationship with a partner you are struggling with, a family member or a friend.   It might be a work colleague or even something else.  Whatever is happening, we can shed a light upon what is happening and what you can do about it.

Just as a good relationship can have a positive impact on your life, stressful, draining, or imbalanced relationships can have negative effects on your health and well-being. It’s common to maintain a relationship because we feel the other person needs us or we believe that they will eventually change. We may also be afraid of hurting the other person or feel insecure in our ability to find new relationships. But knowing when to end a relationship and acknowledging that the pain will pass can often prevent greater pain and feelings of loss in the long run.

If you’re in a relationship that isn’t satisfying or one that has become unhealthy for you, rather than spending energy attempting to fix the problem or complaining, ask yourself what you really want from the relationship. Consider whether the other person truly considers your feelings or if they are willing to change their behaviour. Ask yourself if you’ve often thought about ending the relationship or if you feel your bonds have atrophied. While every relationship has ups and downs, when there are more downs than ups or the two of you are bringing out the worst in each other, it may be time to sever the connection. Be honest with yourself and your answers, even if the truth is painful.

Relationships thrive on honesty, communication, mutual caring, and time spent together. When one or more of these elements are missing, it may be that the relationship, no matter how passionate, simply isn’t worth it. It’s far better to end a relationship that doesn’t feel right than to hold on to it and languish in feelings of anger or resentment. Moving on without struggle, on the other hand, can be the door that leads you to a more nurturing relationship in the future.
